The read-in is open to the public. Supporters are encouraged to attend, bring a favorite book, and take part in a peaceful, visible demonstration of support for the library before the Commissioners Meeting begins. If you have a "Read Free NC" pin, please wear it to show your support. We plan to have a few on hand for anyone who needs one. - 6:00 pm Commissioners Meeting
We urge you to sign up for public comment before the meeting starts and speak in support of our library and the freedom to read.
You may also want to attend the next meeting of the new Library Board of Trustees on October 13 at 6:00 pm. This is your chance to meet the new members and watch as they conduct their first regular business meeting.
