Rally at the Courthouse w/the SCLA

Join the Saline County Library Alliance as we rally in protest against the Saline County Quorum Court's unwillingness to listen to the entirety of Saline County voters and their likely passage of a potentially illegal ordinance to grant themselves direct authority over library hiring/firing and finances. As several brave Alliance members have spoken numerous times to their JPs, the County Judge, and the Quorum Court at large to no avail, we will be hosting our rally outside of the courthouse in protest. We will still work hard to ensure that any new voices for the Alliance that would like to speak to the Quorum Court are able to get in, however, as we firmly believe that it is still critical that our perceptions, beliefs, and stances be heard on the public record.

If you are someone who has not had a chance to be heard by the Quorum Court and you would like a chance to speak against their anti-library policies and rhetoric, please reach out so that we can make sure to help make that happen. As always, anyone interested in speaking at the Quorum Court meeting should get there early, as space is limited and often occupied by library opponents well in advance of the actual meeting at 6:30.
