October Warren County Library Commission Meeting next week!

The Commission stated at the September meeting that they plan to present new By-Laws at this meeting. New By-Laws could create sweeping changes to the way the Commission and Library operate. Though they have been working for months with a lawyer (at $190 an hour) on new By-Laws, the Commission has not been transparent about their motivations for the changes or what kinds of changes they intend to make. However, they have signaled they want to distance themselves from the American Library Association and take steps to restrict books they personally deem to be offensive.
