Please join us at the next FVRLibraries Board of Trustees meeting and continue showing your support for intellectual freedom and equity.

At the last meeting, community members showed up in force to speak in support of intellectual freedom and equity. It mattered. It was heard. We want to keep that momentum going as the Board moves toward key decisions.

This upcoming meeting is especially important. The Board of Trustees will be voting on the library’s Strategic Priorities as well as the Mission, Vision, and Values statement. These foundational documents will guide FVRLibraries’ work for years to come and directly influence how the library serves its communities.

We encourage community members to urge the Board to approve the Strategic Priorities and the Mission, Vision, and Values statement as written, without removing or weakening commitments to equity and intellectual freedom.

Public input plays a critical role in these decisions. When community members participate, it reinforces that libraries exist to serve the full diversity of our community.
