Albuquerque Board of Education Meeting

People in favor of book banning have started speaking at Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education meetings, so we have a good opportunity to speak up for books and the people they represent. Public comment can be given virtually or in person.

Board meetings are regularly scheduled for the first and third Wednesday of each month, with committee meetings at other times. Here's the calendar.

Here's the guide to making public comment. You must sign up online on the day of the meeting between 8 a.m. on the start of the meeting. If interest is high, signups will close much earlier so it's not a bad idea to set an alarm and sign up as soon as the form opens. Please read other details on this page, especially the Expected Behavior section. 

It's recommended to prepare both a 2 minute and a 1 minute version of your comments, in case the time limit is lowered.
