UT Legislature: Interim Ed. Committee Meeting - Wed Nov 15 8:00-12 (State Capitol Rm 445)

ACTION ALERT: Please come to the State Capitol on Wednesday morning to tell the Education Committee you OPPOSE passing a new "Sensitive Materials" bill that would empower two school districts anywhere in Utah to impose their decisions to pull library books off the shelves on EVERY district in Utah.

This violates the principle of local control, and violates the rights of voters who have elected their own school boards to make local decisions about education policy in their District.

This is a thinly veiled attempt to impose the most extreme approach to book bans in all local communities across the state.

Latest draft of the bill posted 11/13:https://le.utah.gov/interim/2023/pdf/00004704.pdf
